Launching in May 2023, Phonak Slim hearing aids incorporate a new modern sleek look and the advanced Lumity technology platform.  The Slim hearing aids are at the premium technology level, which means you will benefit from the full feature set of this hearing aid range.

The Phonak Slim hearing aids ergonomic casing is contoured to fit naturally behind the ear and sit comfortably to your head shape.  Ideal if you wear glasses or a mask for a comfortable fit all day long.

The design follows the fashion hearing aid market trend first seen with Signia’s 2018 Styletto hearing aid launch (now redesigned with more advanced technology in the Styletto model).  Phonak Slim hearing aids are designed to be seen and show consumers not just what hearing aids can do, but also break the mould on how hearing aids can look.

What are the main features of the Phonak Slim hearing aids?

SmartSpeech Technology

This comprises a collection of features that Phonak’s AutoSense OS 5.0 automatically adapts depending on your environment and hearing needs.  Each feature is created to support better speech understanding or reduce listening effort in various listening environments – even the most challenging ones.

With Phonak Slim hearing aids, you can also boost your speech understanding with Roger On.  A unique hearing solution that helps you to always fully participate in conversations.  It is a microphone that provides stereo sound and understands and recognises where sounds are coming from.  Ultimately making conversations clear, especially in environments where the background noise changes often.

SpeechSensor

This is an algorithm that pinpoints the direction of the main speech signal giving you an increase of 15% in speech understanding and an 11% reduction in listening effort.

StereoZoom 2.0

This feature cleverly adapts the strength of focus as the level of background noise increases.  This ultimately gives you a 2.5 dB better signal-to-noise ratio.

Phonak Slim hearing aid’s colours, technology, charging capabilities and technology levels

The Phonak Slim hearing aids come in three different colour options, including the same audiology technology as the Phonak Lumity as well as using lithium-ion rechargeable batteries.  These batteries are said to last all day with only three hours of charge in Phonak’s portable charging case.  Please remember available power will depend on streaming usage.

Phonak Slims hearing aids come in only the top two technology levels, which are this one (the premium) and the advanced performance.  There is also no telecoil feature, basic or economy levels we are used to seeing in Phonak’s range.

What about Bluetooth technology?  Like the Lumity hearing aid range, Phonak Slim hearing aids offer advanced Bluetooth which can be paired with up to eight devices within your home and two can be active at the same time.  Making the switch between different sources easier and more convenient.
